Girls Inc. Names Mizuho America’s Samantha Persaud to Board of Directors
NY, New York – Dec. 16, 2025 — Girls Inc., the longest-running girls’ leadership organization, today announced the appointment of Samantha Persaud, Vice President and Data Privacy Officer at Mizuho Americas, to its Board of Directors.
Persaud is an attorney with 10 years of experience in corporate law, data protection, technology, compliance, risk management and nonprofit law. In her current role, she oversees international data privacy compliance and advises on emerging technologies and programs such as AI.
In addition to her technical expertise, Persaud has been a long-time champion of Girls Inc., having served for almost a decade on the board of directors of Girls Inc. of Long Island.

Persaud joins board members Sean Costello, Managing Partner and Founder at Participant Capital; Ashli Fragomeni, CEO of Girls Inc. of the Greater Capital Region; Sayo Kamara, Associate Director at The Durst Organization; Julie Overbeck, Managing Partner at Basset Capital; and Alan Ratliff, Partner and Co-owner of StoneTurn Group, along with the previously announced Board Chair, Screenwriter and Producer Stephanie Savage. Together, they will help guide Girls Inc. in advancing its strategic plan, expanding its footprint and ensuring more girls have access to the mentorship, resources and support that help them lead with confidence and influence.
