Girls Inc. Brand Ambassadors reflect on their experience with Coca-Cola’s Future Careers Academy

FIFA World Cup 26™ has taken the world by storm and Girls Inc. thanks to a partnership with the Coca-Cola Company through their Coca‑Cola FC (Future Careers) Academy, is part of the action. FC Academy has given our girls a front-row seat to careers in and around sports and the World Cup. We asked our Brand Ambassadors to highlight their most meaningful takeaways, what they’re looking forward to, and how the FC Academy has shaped their perspective of soccer.

Berklee, a Brand Ambassador from Girls Inc. of Philadelphia & Southern New Jersey, discusses her takeaways outside of just sports, “Participating in the Coca-Cola FC Academy was an incredible experience that helped me grow both as a player and as a leader. Throughout the program, I developed new skills in teamwork, communication, and confidence while learning from mentors and coaches who encouraged me to challenge myself. One of my favorite parts of the experience was connecting with other girls.

My biggest takeaway was realizing how much soccer can teach us beyond the field. The game is not only about competition—it is about resilience, leadership, and community. With the World Cup, I am excited to watch talented athletes compete at the highest level and be inspired by their dedication. The FC Academy has strengthened my appreciation for soccer and shown me how sports can empower girls to become leaders.”

Aisha, a Brand Ambassador from Girls Inc. of Greater Miami, reflects on the internal growth sports can foster, “Participating in the Coca-Cola FC Academy was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity that pushed me outside of my comfort zone and helped me grow.  During the program, I was taught the importance of creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving. One of the biggest things I gained from the experience was confidence. The program encouraged me to speak up and share my ideas, affirming their value. Before FC Academy, I sometimes doubted myself, but the mentors and activities encouraged me to trust my voice more. Overall, the experience helped me develop new skills, meet inspiring people, and see the game as something that brings communities together. As the excitement for the World Cup grows, I’m excited to see how soccer continues to connect and inspire people around the world.”

The World Cup is a reminder of the important role sports can play in supporting girls’ confidence, communication, and strength. Girls Inc. is proud to offer opportunities inspiring young leaders through sports and career pathways, in collaboration with Coca-Cola.
