Girls Inc. President & CEO named one of 100 Women Leaders in STEM

 

NEW YORK, NY (June 28, 2012) – Girls Inc. is proud to announce the inclusion of the organization and President and CEO Judy Vredenburgh in the inaugural STEMconnector™ 100 Women Leaders in STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) publication.

The publication recognizes Girls Inc. for encouraging girls to view STEM fields as options for their future. Girls Inc. Operation SMART provides hands-on activities for girls to explore STEM and problem-solve, while introducing them to diverse women in these careers.

Judy is profiled with a Q&A on the importance of reaching more girls with STEM programming. The publication also includes an opinion piece addressing the under-representation of girls and women of color in STEM.
