At the Girls Inc. 2010 National Conference in Washington, D.C., Girls Inc. leadership, staff, board members, and supporters gathered to celebrate how our work and mission influence issues critical to girls and gender equity. At the conference, Girls Inc. Board Chair Bridgette Heller announced Judy Vredenburgh as President and CEO to replace Joyce M. Roché, who is retiring at the end of May after nearly ten years of dedicated service
The theme for the 2010 conference—taken from a quote by Edith B. Phelps, former CEO for Girls Incorporated—was “Inspired for Life: To become somebody you never expected, but someone else did.”
