Girls Inc.: Inspiring all girls to be strong, smart and bold.

After all, a girl is not an object that one can treat and manipulate like a puppet, a girl is someone who needs love, kindness, and someone who understands them.

Girls, Women, and Stress: A Girls Inc. Roundtable Event

A panel of accomplished women discussed girls, women, and stress at the annual Girls Inc. Roundtable breakfast. Moderated by Ashley Santiague, a high school senior and member of Girls Inc. of New York City, and Kafi Drexel, health and fitness reporter for television channel NY1, the panel discussion focused on one of the central themes of Girls Inc. Mind+BodySM, which helps give girls the knowledge, skills, and attitude needed to develop and maintain a healthy and positive sense of self.

Panelists Dana Buchman, designer; Shelly Lazarus, Chairman of Ogilvy & Mather Worldwide; Cindi Leive, Editor-in-Chief of Glamour; Jessica Weiner, author and self-esteem expert; and Dr. Jennifer Wider, a women's health expert, author, and radio host answered questions about how they cope with stress, one of the four critical issues targeted by Girls Inc. Mind+BodySM, along with physical activity, nutrition, and body image.
