After all, a girl is not an object that one can treat and manipulate like a puppet, a girl is someone who needs love, kindness, and someone who understands them.
The Girls Inc. Washington, D.C. Celebration Luncheon is one of three annual events during which Girls Inc. honors men and women who, by their work and example, are creating a better future for girls. Our Luncheon awards are presented by Girls Inc. National Scholars, outstanding young women who have demonstrated leadership in their Girls Inc. communities and schools.
Girls Inc. has made a commitment to advocate for change and to help girls embrace their roles as engaged citizens. We inspire girls to act on their courage and vision to change the world. The Girls Inc. 2009 Washington, D.C. Celebration Luncheon commemorates another year of generating powerful opportunities in girls' lives through Girls Inc. signature programs, public policy initiatives, and partnerships.
