Girls are talking. Are you listening?

The Girls Inc. Tell Me Survey asks girls to tell us what messages they need to hear from the adults in their lives. Over 1,000 girls have responded so far! Here's what some girls have shared:

"Tell me that I am on my way to success."

"Tell me that I AM the best I can be, not that I should be the best."

"Let kids pour all they want out. Then give us advice that you might have used at that age. If the kid has more to say, then listen some more. It will only help us in the future. And no interrupting!"

"Don't think we'll find our way through everything. Some things we will, but realize that we don't always want to come to you. Please make the effort to come to us so we feel more comfortable."

"Tell me that it is ok to make mistakes."

"To help me be a strong, smart, and bold girl, you need to be that yourself, or pretty close."

Now it's your turn! What messages do you wish you heard from adults when you were a girl?
